Yoga Nidra

The art of resting — truly, deeply, completely.

An ancient practice of yogic sleep that offers the nervous system something rare: profound rest, gentle healing, and a return to wholeness.

What Is Yoga Nidra?

Wakeful sleep — and the deepest rest you may ever know.

Yoga Nidra translates as yogic sleep — a state of conscious, deep rest in which the body sleeps while the mind remains quietly awake.

Lying comfortably and simply listening, you are guided through a sequence of breath, body and awareness — a slow descent into a liminal space between waking and sleep. In this state, the nervous system settles, the breath softens, and the body does what it so rarely gets to do: truly let go.

It is not effort. It is not performance. It is the opposite — an invitation to stop striving, and to receive. A single session can leave you feeling as rested as hours of sleep; a regular practice can quietly change your life.

What You Receive

The Benefits of Yoga Nidra

A practice that gives back what daily life so often takes — rest, ease, and a quieter mind.

  • Deep nervous-system restYoga Nidra invites the body into a profound state of release — a rest that reaches places ordinary relaxation cannot.
  • Better, easier sleepMany find their nights deepen and settle after a session — falling asleep more easily, waking more restored.
  • Lower stress & anxietyAs the breath slows and the body softens, the grip of tension loosens — often for hours or days afterwards.
  • Clarity & focusA rested mind is a clear mind. People often leave a session thinking more sharply and seeing more gently.
  • Gentle emotional releaseThe liminal state of Yoga Nidra allows held emotions to soften and move — without force, without analysis.
  • Effortless meditationFor those who struggle to sit and quiet the mind, Yoga Nidra offers a gentle doorway into the same stillness — by lying down.
What a Session Looks Like

The Shape of a Yoga Nidra Practice

There is nothing to get right. You simply arrive, lie down, and let yourself be guided.

  1. Settle & set intentionYou lie comfortably (often with blankets and bolsters) and, if you wish, set a quiet personal intention for the practice.
  2. Guided body scan & breathSlowly, gently, awareness is moved through the body — paired with simple breathwork to settle the nervous system.
  3. The journey between waking & sleepYou are guided into the liminal space of Yoga Nidra itself — body deeply at rest, mind softly awake, awareness wide.
  4. Gentle return & integrationYou are slowly guided back, taking a few moments to absorb the stillness before returning to your day or evening.

Nothing to learn. Nothing to perform.
A Yoga Nidra session asks nothing of you except presence. There is no posture to master, no technique to remember — only the willingness to rest. Most sessions run 45–60 minutes.

Is This for You?

Who Yoga Nidra Is For

Yoga Nidra is for anyone who is tired — in body, in mind, in spirit. If you have lain awake at night, woken unrefreshed, carried tension you cannot quite name, or simply longed to feel still, this practice offers a gentle way home.

It is especially loved by those who find traditional meditation difficult — the busy-minded, the anxious, the exhausted — because nothing is asked of you but to lie down and listen. There is no experience required, no flexibility needed, and no way to do it wrong.

Whether you are seeking deeper sleep, relief from stress, or simply a sacred hour of rest, you are warmly welcome here.
